Kiwanis Club grant for summer interns
We are happy to announce that the Kiwanis Club of Saugerties has awarded To Be Forever Wild a grant to help keep our internship program going through the summer. We’ve worked with many local students since this project began, and we are happy to be able to keep the program going. Thanks to the Kiwanis Club and to all our interns who have contributed so much to this film!

Fly Fishing Season Begins
Catskills bloggers The Watershed Post recently reported on the opening of the fly fishing season in the Catskills. We were at the annual event sponsored by the Catskills Fly Fishing Center and Museum last year, where we interviewed avid fly fisherman and actor Mark Ruffalo. Stay tuned to an upcoming post with our exclusive interview with Mark, who is an activist and a really nice guy too.

Last week for Platte Clove Artists Exhibit
This is the final week to check out the Erpf Gallery exhibit of work created by artists-in-residence at the Platteclove cabin. The show features a video piece co-created by Ian Holden and David Becker, a photo of our film crew by Mario Valentino Tozzi, and a watercolor by Ekaterina Smirnova – the film’s very own artist in residence! Thru April 6th in Arkville, NY.

3500 Club Congrats!
Congrats to all the new members of the Catskills 3500 Club! Their annual dinner took place over the weekend. We were there last year and we filmed young hiker Arlo Cusmano getting his official membership.
Read all about the event in this article from the Albany Times Union, which also mentions Carol White – another 3500 Club member who we interviewed for the film.
